Brad Countryman's McBride Hummingbird Starburst Series

* Brad changed his lathe tooling just a bit to produce this tapered edge model that differs slightly from the more rounded standard edge.

* In 1988 when I first talked to Brad about making some signature butterfly models for my collection, he had the tooling to do so but had not made any for a number of years. I was delighted when he consented to produce a limited number of Starburst and Trickster models for me. I don't have the specific number of pieces we ordered for each model, but it was a few hundred at best. I used them in my own demonstrations and as give-away promotions for my Classic Yo-Yo Video Series. In subsequent years, Brad went on to produce a very popular line of Trickster models for retail sales (the BC Apollo series).
